Gas Station Compliance
Gas station owners and operators are required to:
- Self-inspect vapor recovery equipment daily.
- Maintain logs of daily inspections and corrective actions.
- Correct equipment deficiencies or remove defective equipment from service.
- Train employees performing equipment inspections.
- Maintain employee training logs.
- Schedule annual audits of your self-inspection program and keep written test reports on-site.
- Contract for annual tests of vapor recovery systems and keep written test reports on-site.
Penalties for non-compliance range from $200 to $2000 per violation.
