Grant Opportunities for Diesel
Reduction Projects

Do you have a diesel project that could be a great success with a bit of funding?

The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency and the Puget Sound Clean Cities Coalition are looking for projects and partners to apply for Clean Diesel Grant funds from the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology).

We’re looking to sponsor projects that reduce harmful diesel pollution, particularly in highly polluted areas, improve energy efficiency, and reduce petroleum use.  Maybe yours could benefit.

Up to $7 million in funding is expected state-wide for clean diesel projects under Ecology’s program.  There also may be some additional funding available at the local level for projects in the Tacoma-Pierce County fine particle nonattainment area or near the ports of Tacoma and Seattle.

If you have a great project and would like to partner with us on an application, please fill out Ecology’s Application for Clean Diesel Grant Program and return it to us via e-mail at  grantapps@pscleanair.org by Wednesday, August 31, 2011.

We’ll notify our applicants by September 16, 2011 regarding which projects we’ll submit to Ecology1.  We will keep all proposals on file for grant opportunities that arise within the next six months.  Also, even if we don’t sponsor your project, you can still submit your application directly to Ecology for consideration.

If you have any questions, please contact Elizabeth Gilpin at 206-689-4026.
