Online Air Quality Info For The Puget Sound Region Gets An Upgrade

Sept. 8, 2006 — The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency has launched its totally redesigned Web site, located at www.pscleanair.org. The site delivers a wide array of information ranging from raw monitoring data to air quality forecasts, resources for regulated businesses, regional air quality challenges, along with actions businesses and individuals alike can take to help protect air quality – and more.

Key improvements include more prominently-displayed air quality forecasts for King, Kitsap, Pierce and Snohomish counties, which are now visible from the home page. Additionally, more logically clustered menus and content enable visitors to find their desired information faster and easier.

The site also features enhanced content areas, which have been updated and rewritten for clarity with links to related resources; reduced page lengths, for easier reading/scanning; and finally, repositioning of Burn Ban and Smog Watch status information to appear on the home page all the time, and all pages when an event is in progress.

This is the third version of the agency’s Web site since the original design in 1999.
