Agency Board seeking candidates for its public-at-large position

 

Sep. 9, 2005 –The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency Board of Directors is seeking candidates for its public-at-large position. The Board is composed of representatives from each of the four counties in our jurisdiction (King, Kitsap, Pierce, and Snohomish), a representative from the largest city in each county, and one member representing the public-at-large.

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Represent the public interest.
  • Support the agency vision, mission and values.
  • Reside within King, Pierce, Kitsap or Snohomish County.

In addition, candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Community outreach experience.
  • Relevant public health, air quality and/or related expertise.
  • Experience with the agency, such as Advisory Council membership or other involvement.
  • Proven ability to provide a nongovernmental perspective.

Interested candidates must submit a letter of interest describing how they meet the criteria, skills and experience and why they are interested in the at-large position on the Board of Directors. Letters of interest must be submitted via e-mail no later than noon on Tuesday, September 20, to alicec@pscleanair.org. The Board of Directors will review the letters of interest and select candidates it desires to become finalists.

The Board may choose to do interviews of one or more final candidates for the position. The Board plans to have initial discussion at its September 22 meeting and expects to make a final selection this fall.
