Craig Kenworthy, Executive Director of the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency, was previously the Conservation Director of the Greater Yellowstone Coalition, an organization that works to protect the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, an area encompassing parts of three states, 20 counties and two national parks. Before that he worked on a number of growth and conservation issues in metropolitan Kansas City, where he served as chairperson of the Johnson County, Kansas Park and Recreation District board; as a member of a planning and zoning board; and as chair of the Merriam, Kansas Chamber of Commerce. In his legal practice there, he was general counsel to a school district and municipal government. He graduated with distinction from the University Of Nebraska College Of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
On a personal note, Craig is a long distance runner who's run 14 marathons, along with races like the Pike's Peak Ascent and the Hood to Coast Relay in Oregon.
Craig is married and lives in Seattle with his wife, Karen Larsen, a social worker who works with older populations.
